Moxie has been awarded two coveted 2011 Communicator Awards of Distinction, honoring creative excellence for communications professionals, and selected from a pool of over 6,000 entries across the U.S. and around the world. Awards were granted to Moxie in the categories of:
- Outdoor/advertising campaign to promote rabbittransit’s rabbitEXPRESS service, targeting the commuter audience in central PA, southcentral PA and northern Maryland.

Moxie has announced the York County Alliance for Learning (YCAL) as the non-profit recipient of its spring grant under the Moxie Grant Program. The first-of-its-kind in the region, the Moxie Grant Program provides $10,000 of in-kind agency services each year to help regional non-profit organizations in the South Central Pennsylvania region promote their efforts in making a positive difference in their communities. Moxie will partner with the York County Alliance for Learning to create a brand, to further the mission of managing shared resources.

Maureen Royer, client services and media director at Moxie, a full-service advertising and communications firm specializing in traditional and non-traditional services, has been named to the Board of Directors of AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution owned and operated by their members.
As a member of the Board of Directors, Maureen’s duties and responsibilities will include: attending monthly board meetings and any special meetings required; communicate and interact with a team of elected and appointed volunteers and staff; making decisions and approving policies for the best interests of the members and the credit union.

Moxie has announced Leg Up Farm as the non-profit recipient of its 2010 summer/fall grant under the Moxie Grant Program. The first-of-its-kind in the region, the Moxie Grant Program provides $10,000 of in-kind agency services each year to help regional non-profit organizations in the South Central Pennsylvania region promote their efforts in making a positive difference in their communities. Moxie will partner with Leg Up Farm to create promotional materials and collateral to brand the organization.
Leg Up Farm is a comprehensive therapy and rehabilitation center located in a unique farm environment in York County for children with disabilities and developmental delays. The organization designs individual programs for each child, utilizing the most effective combination of traditional, occupational, physical and speech therapies, while incorporating more progressive therapeutic approaches such as sensory, play, massage therapy, aquatherapy, hippotherapy and recreational activities. Leg Up farm opened its 16,500-square-foot state-of-the-art facility (Phase One) in April 2010 and has already served over 200 families in three months. Phase Two, Three and Four of the facility include an indoor riding arena and horse barn for equine-related activities, classrooms, interactive community center, auditorium, hydroworx therapy pool and a greenhouse, adding an approximate 53,000-square-feet to the building footprint.

Julie Lando, president and owner or Moxie, has been named one of Central Pennsylvania’s 25 Women of Influence of 2010 by the Central Penn Business Journal. Lando joins the elite group of women in the region, based on her significant career accomplishments, leadership and mentoring, and community involvement.
Lando was nominated by a client who recognized Julie’s leadership abilities professionally and within the community. “Julie is a tremendous asset to her industry and community, and I felt that she deserved acknowledgment for what she does professionally and for the region as a whole. Her can-do attitude and high work ethics are infectious. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this recognition,” said the nominee.

Moxie has announced the York County Community Foundation as the non-profit recipient of its third grant under the Moxie Grant Program. The first-of-its-kind in the region, the Moxie Grant Program provides $10,000 of in-kind agency services each year to help regional non-profit organizations in the South Central Pennsylvania region promote their efforts in making a positive difference in their communities. Moxie will partner with the York County Community Foundation to create a new brand identity for the organization to celebrate its 50th Anniversary.
“We are excited to partner with the York County Community Foundation to offer our services to such a deserving organization,” said Julie Lando, president and owner of Moxie. “We are looking forward to working with the organization to support their overall mission.”

Moxie has been awarded the prestigious 2009 International Davey Award, an award focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work from the best firms worldwide. Moxie’s redesign of the York Central Market logo was chosen among 4,000 entries.
A two-time winner of the award, Moxie is currently working with Central Market to rebrand and reimage the market, creating the “Fresh Local Flavor” campaign. In addition to the redesigned logo and brand identity campaign, Moxie is also designing a website, print collateral, handling event planning and a public relations campaign for market.
